Social media advertising is an effective way to promote your business. It’s also a great way to connect with people in your community.

Create an Account.

If you haven’t yet signed up for a social network account, do so now. You’ll need to sign up for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, and/or Snapchat.

Choose a Platform.

Once you’ve chosen a platform, you’ll need to decide what type of ad you want to run. There are three main options:
• Display ads – These appear as an image or text link at the top or bottom of a website. They’re usually paid advertisements, though some platforms offer free display ads.
• Sponsored stories – These appear within a user’s feed and are typically sponsored by brands.
• Promoted posts – These appear in users’ feeds and are often promoted by brands.

Set Goals.

You should set goals for each social network you use. This will help you determine whether your efforts are paying off. If not, you can adjust your strategy accordingly.

Start Posting.

It’s easy to think that posting on Facebook or Twitter is enough to grow your business. However, there are other platforms out there that can help you reach new audiences. Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, and even Snapchat are just some of the options available to you.

Monitor Results.

You should monitor results after each campaign to see how well it performed. If you didn’t meet your goals, adjust your strategy accordingly.
