Teeth whitening

Who does not want a white smile?
We have bleached teeth since the 90’s and the methods have been a bit different over time. We always try to find the means and method that is best, most damaging and, above all, not harmful to either teeth or health. Coming with new bleaching methods, we’ll look at them and compare.

Bleaching method

At clinic bleaching, 1½ hours will be booked in a dental chair for 2 x 20 minutes with the agent applied to the teeth, no laser / UV lamp or other non-bleaching effect. Before or during the bleaching time, we strongly recommend that you do a tooth cleaning. All coatings and tartar affect the final result, so to achieve the best results, please book a cleaning process in connection with the bleaching.

During the treatment itself, anointing may occur or during the following days after bleaching may occur. It can be alleviated by fluorine treatment. It is very individual if you get a burst or not, so you can not tell in advance if it will be so or not. The ills cease after a shorter time. The same applies to the effect of bleaching, it is also very individual and depends on the teeth itself (the emulsion building and the primer), partly on care and what you eat / drink. Avoid food / beverage with strong colorants such as blueberries or coffee / red wine for at least 48 hours after the bleaching.

It is expected that full bleaching effect will be achieved after about 48 hours. Usually, a good bleaching result is maintained for about 1 year, but it may change due to food / beverage and not least snuff / smoking and over time, the bleaching will decrease, much the same as you lose a tan.

The difference between home accumulation and clinical bleaching  is both the treatment time and the concentration of the drug. The amount we spend at the clinic has  significantly higher  efficacy (40%) than that used for home impairment (18%). However, a good result can be achieved in case of housekeeping in case of repeated use.

Tooth whitening at the clinic

Your teeth become whiter before you even leave the dental clinic. We use bleach agents that are powerful (Opalescense), no lighting or laser is used for it to work. Thus, you do not release unpleasant heat and harmful ultraviolet rays. The bleach is activated as soon as it is applied to your teeth. Simple and comfortable. And within an hour you have noticeably whiter teeth.

To think about bleaching

The effect is due to different factors: discoloration, such as drug and fluorine paint, but also discoloration caused by root teeth. The best effect is shown on discoloration caused by coffee, tobacco and colorful foods. We can not change the basic color of the tooth, if you have yellow teeth, the effect becomes less noticeable.

Side effects

Infections – Occur in some patients.
By the way, no side effects.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding should avoid bleaching their teeth as research on this group of women can not be carried out and therefore no negative effects can be demonstrated.

Keep your teeth white!

The teeth whitening at the clinic is the best kick start for whiter teeth. But probably you will want to continue the process to make sure your teeth reach their utmost potential. The staff recommends follow-up treatment products that you make for a few days. During these days your teeth continue to bleach and finally stabilize in their new white shine.

The bleach is simply activated as soon as it is applied to your teeth. You choose whether you want to bleach all or some. Only discolourations are removed when teeth whitening, we can not change the primer color. So you have a yellowish primer can not make your teeth white.
