Choose a Design That Suits Your Space

There are so many different pavers brick designs available today that choosing one can be overwhelming. You’ll need to consider what kind of design will work best with your home’s style and how much maintenance you’d like to do yourself.

Create a Plan Before You Start Digging

If you plan out your project before starting, you’ll save time and money. It’s also easier to keep track of materials when you’ve got a plan.

Lay Out Your Pavers

Start by laying down pavers along the perimeter of your area. You’ll need at least two rows of pavers. Then lay down pavers between each row. Make sure to stagger them so they line up with the first row. This will help give your design more depth.

Install Them

Once you’ve laid out your pavers, install them using mortar and sand. If you’re installing them yourself, use a trowel to spread the mortar evenly across the surface of the pavers. Let it dry completely before adding the next layer.

Finish with a Smooth Surface

To make sure your pavers stay looking good, apply a final coat of mortar after each layer. This will help keep the pavers smooth and prevent any cracks or gaps from forming between the bricks.
